What is Vocational Training?
Vocational educationĀ is defined asĀ trainingĀ for a specificĀ vocation in industry or agriculture or trade. It uses various forms of formal, non-formal and informal learning. Also, it is important for social equality, inclusion and sustainable development
For many weaker sections of the society, schooling is very expensive, and a lot of students may not be able to afford it till the end.Ā
Vocational training helps grant access to practical education that the industry wants, and then employment, meaning better livelihood and fewer crime rates and drug abuses by the youth.Ā It also saves the employing company a lot of money and time seeing as they do not need on-job-training, unlike college graduates. Since the learners specialize in specific areas, they concentrate on that sub-discipline and learn as much as possible.Ā This way, they become experts in that particular area and gain useful knowledge.Ā They are known to deliver quality performance and good results.
